We were the principal contractor on site on this major school boiler room refurbishment along with replacing swimming pool plant. The total value was in access of 280k. The works had to be planned to have the hot water working by the time the school returned from the summer recess. Five new boilers were installed with a combined output of 900Kw, the complete boiler room pipe was replaced along with the swimming pool plant. the system was converted from gravity feed and expansion to three separate sealed system. All the pumps were replaced with modern Grundfos twin pumps, the controls were completely updated to include the new control panel along with a BMS system to allow the client to monitor and control the system from their head office by a telephone link with a personal computer, the system functions and set points are displayed on the computer screen.
We are domestic sub-contractors on this project, to Wiggens Gee Construction, our sub contract value is 400k, the contract involved removing an old boiler and replacing with Potterton Arizona 1100Kw boiler, modernising the general water services with a new main sectional cold tank and a fast recovery hot water cylinder, all the swimming pool ventilation plant was replaced with high efficiency Dantherm air handling plant. A new changing village was built on the side of the main pool, this involved us carrying out designing to provide high pressure pumped and shower facilities and general water supplies, under floor heating systems along with heat reclaim ventilation, all linked were possible into existing systems.
The works were complex due to the clients need to keep the leisure centre operational, this aspect was challenging and successfully carried out by using our computerised planning system supplied by PowerProject plc.
A complete new controls system was installed which has a BMS system linked to the clients offices.
On this contract we are sub contractors for Sindall Limited builders. The building will be a high quality private residence with a basement swimming pool served by a high efficiency condensing boiler, the services have been designed by the clients consultants. The installation has a basement level water storage tank with a pump boosted hot and coldwater services throughout, heating is by a mixture of high efficiency steel panel radiators, under floor heating both LPHW and electrical, and decorative gas fires, air conditioning in the major reception rooms, we are also installing the complete sanitary services, new soil stack and wastes. This services sub contract value is 150k.
We are sub contractors for Jerran Falkers Construction limited builders, The main contract works are to refurbish parts of the existing school complex and building a complete new dining block, All this whilst the school is occupied. Our sub-contract works are to provide all new mechanical servuces to the refurbished areas and during the school summer shut down fit new boilers, contols and pumps in the existing boiler room. on the new build section provide general ventilation, kitchen hoods, separate hot water services, new water and gas supplies. The services sub contract value is 200k
We are the principal contractors for this contract which is a boiler room that serves occupied residential dwellings, it involves swapping from oil fired to gas fired plant. Replacing the existing 2 central heating boilers with low now 220Kw Broag boilers and two direct fired gas water heaters, replacing all pipe work, controls, pumps and flues. Our contract is approx 160k. The challenge of this contract is to keep the hot water supply continuous operation, this will be done by using temporary flue at the initial start of the works.

The new controls system will be arranged to split the junior and infants sections to enable the client to operate either section of the heating system separately or both together. Our contract value is approx 110k.
On this contract we are sub contractors for Sindall Limited builders. The building will be a high quality fully air conditioned offices suite served by a VRV system with fan coils on each floor, the high efficiency units with roof mounted air cooled condensers will allow both cooling and heating at the same time. we are also installing the complete sanitary services, with all new soil stacks and wastes, supplying and fitting new sanitary ware, along with new cold mains plumbing system. our contract value is approx 150k
This project involves the rebuild of facilities within Devon Ward. (We have completed a number of similar jobs for Enfield NHS trust in the last few years)
The contract is worth £80k for the design and installation of a new ventilation system, including heat recovery, air conditioning and cleaning plant. New plumbing is to be connected to the hospital's existing system.
With just a Two week lead in time, we have been using our expertise in fast-track planning and supervision, and have had to make connections to existing occupied areas, without inconveniencing staff and patients.
We have recently completed this challenging job which has honed our staff and management skills. The community hall had an unreliable heating and hot water system which was disrupting the busy function schedule.
Our task was to strip out the old system and install a completely new boiler plant within 4 days, ready for a function. Space limitations did not allow packaged pre-fabricated plant, so we assembled and installed new high efficiency Broag boilers, flues, controls, pumps and pipework.
Our contract value was £50k and was successfully completed on time and to the delight of the client. Our reputation received a boost, as the system proved beyond the clients dreams.
This was a fast-track project, designed as it was being built, Havering Hospital Trust needed to expand and improve it's A&E facilities. We were chosen from the Trust's approved list and worked in partnership with the main contractor; W A Hills, and consultant; The Mackechnie Jarvis & Graham Partnership. The project was very convenient for us, being some 200 Yards from our office, and worth £120k.
The job involved new ventilation systems, air conditioning, alterations to the heating and hot water services, along with medical gas installation. The works were successfully completed within the 16 week period, whilst the department remained open. The client is very pleased with the results, which could not have been achieved without a team effort from all involved on the project.
We carry out many boiler replacement contracts in the school holidays. This school had been suffering from a lack of heating and hot water. Our job was to rationalise the old plant rooms to one central plant area.
We installed a high efficiency dual Broag boiler system, complete with new pipe work and controls, and a high recovery un-vented hot water generating system. The new heating mains were installed very quickly using the Gruvlok pipe jointing system. The pumps we used were inverter controlled.
We worked alongside Builders who were extending the building. Our works were such that the school remained open. Again the works were completed on time and within budget.
We worked with William Verry and Rydon Construction on this project which involved Five blocks of dwellings. They were extensively refurbished by the builders, with us working alongside installing high efficiency small bore heating systems.
We installed Vaillant boilers and un-vented water systems and Johnson & Starley heat recovery systems.
The combined value was over £550k and the contracts ran over 3 years. The tenants and clients were delighted with the end results; modern comfortable homes.
Our clients called us in as experts to disconnect Three housing blocks from an estate Central Boiler Plant system which was old and not reliably supplying heating & hot water.
Our contract was to build a new boiler room, and install a Potterton modular boiler with reverse return system, fan dilution and an advanced BMS system. Pre-insulated heating mains were run to the housing blocks.
The occupiers were not inconvenienced when the system was swapped over, and the works were completed on time and within budget.
